Introduction

    Purpose and Objective:

     My electronic reflective portfolio was made to record my clinical experience as an Elementary teacher candidate. Through this blog, I will post the beginning of my journey as a  professional educator. Anyone who accesses this blog can join in the journey with me and see the hard work, struggles and victories of a starting professional. Though this blog was mainly created as a requirement for my practice teaching class in the University of Puerto Rico in Humacao, it is also open for everyone that wishes to add wisdom from their years of experience to anyone that relates to my stories and is just like me, starting out in the Educational system. This blog will show my growth in the professional area and it will demonstrate it by showing me putting into practice everything that I've learned. I will basically upload everything do in the class. This blog will contain a video of me teaching, my lesson plans, my students assessment instruments, thematic units, a nucleus study, my group's profile, and my special project.

     My objectives are simple but not easy. I hope to obtain not only  a mere 300 hours of service, but also to make an impact on my third grade students. More than attaining 6 credits to complete my bachelors, I want to give. I want to contribute to the educational development of my students and also to the community.  I hope that the majority of my class can receive a great experience through my teaching and that I will mark their memories and hearts forever. For a period of approximately 4 to 5 months, I will be a great part of many third grade students. I do not take lightly the great responsibilities that being a teacher takes. I will be held responsible to motivate them, for their learning,  for their academic growth, and hopefully that will lead them into a hopeful and bright future.
